one "almost" move.....................
Quote:
AXY-wing -379 vertex (79)r1c7, pincers (39)r3c8 & (37)r9c7 with fin (2)r3c8
If xy-wing is true plus transport (3)r3c8-r3c5=(3)8c5; r9c6<>3
If fin is true (2)r3c8-(2=7)r9c8-(7=3)r9c7; r9c6<>3

Ted

[JC, I just looked at your post and we seemed to have used similar cells, but I am not familiar with your notation and am therefore not sure except for the one cell.]

Ted, here is an equivalent representation of your proof ... So you can completely compare.
Quote:
5-SIS AIC net : Kraken Cell (239)R3C8 : SIS[(3)r9c7,(3)r8c5] : => r9c6<>3

(2)r3c8-(27)R9C8-(73)R9C7 [Fin (2)r3c8]
||
(3)r3c8-3C5 [Transport]
||
(9)r3c8-(97)R1C7-(73)R9C7 [XY Wing -379]

Your target, (3)r9c6 instead of my (9)r7c9, makes the Kraken Cell shorter, needing only 5-SIS !
Note : the strong inferences (=) are done inside the SIS, while the weak inferences (-) are done between the SIS.

JC,

Thanks for the info, especially the footnote about the implied strong links.

And yes we had some similar paths.

W-Wing (79).

Next and last move can be either the pincer situation from the 12 UR (which I used) or the Type 1 UR on 67.
