I needed three steps for this fun puzzle.
Quote:
kite(8) ; r8c5<>8
m-wing(95) with pseudocell ; (9=1)r4c5-(1=5)r4c1 - r9c1=(5-9)r8c2=r7c2 ; r7c5<>9
xy-wing(79-1) r5c4 ; r6c9<>1

JC, have you played a turbot/colouring move on 8 to get to this point i.e. SSTS? As I don't have (39)r7c5 otherwise?

Peter, you are right. I didn't double check this puzzle. My notes effectively contain a Grouped Skyscraper on 8 : (8)C35 : => r1c4<>8 between UP36 and UP42. Mea culpa.

I had a great time jumping off into the deep end of this puzzle including a couple of "almost hidden triples" and an almost xyz-wing which were great fun but seemingly useless.

AHT(379)r3c179=(2)r3c7-(2=8)r3c2-r5c2=r5c1-r9c1=r9c4-(8=3)r1c4-r1c1=(3)r3c1; r3c58<>3

AXYZ-wing (179)r5c7 with fin (3)r5c4
IF xyz-wing is true r5c8<>7
If fin is true (3)r5c4-(3=8)r1c4-r1c3=r3c2-r5c2=(8-1)r5c1=r4c1-r4c5=r6c5-(1=7)r6c9; r5c8<>7

AHT(136)r8c369=(8)r8c3-r1c3=r3c2-r5c2=(8-1)r5c1=r4c1-r4c5=(1)r6c5; r8c5<>1
AHT(136)r8c369=(8)r8c3-r8c45=r9c4-(8=3)r1c4; r8c4<>3

ER 8 SL r18c3 hinge box2; r8c5<>8

AIC found extending the vertex of a potential xy-wing: (3=8)r8c3-(8=5)r9c1-(5=1)r4c1-(1=9)r4c5-(9=3)r7c5; r7c3<>3

Coloring on 8; r8c5<>8. This was Peter's Kite, but I only had two 8s in box 1 so it was simple coloring.

All the DP killers for a potential 19 DP in boxes 69 solved three cells in common in box 7.

Take your choice, BUG+2 or XY-Wing (197).
