Just polish this one off quickly before a G&T ... I thought! I played many more moves than this and probably still some extraneous ones..

skyscraper(5)
flightless m-wing(16) ; (6=1)r5c2 - r5c1=(1-6)r3c1=r3c5 transport -(6)r1c6=r4c6 ; r4c1<>6, r5c4<>6
xy-wing(69-5) r1c4 ; r4c6<>5
xy-wing(59-7) r5c4 ; r8c7<>7
BUG+1 ; r2c7=7

Hmmm! Normally, when my solver finds concurrent results for a technique, one or more of the occurrences turn out to be extraneous. After seeing the posted solutions, I checked the puzzle and found only two extraneous step among those listed by my solver. In addition, the Kite for <9> is important but obscure to locate.

Code:
 r58     X-Wing                          <> 5    r19c4,r4c9

         turbot/Multiple Colors          <> 5    r2c1,r7c6,r9c3
 r3c6    2-String Kite                   <> 6    r4c1

 r1c1    2-String Kite                   <> 7    r4c7   extraneous
 r3c4    2-String Kite                   <> 9    r5c9

 <69+5>  XY-Wing  r1c4/r1c6+r5c4         <> 5    r4c6   complementary
 <59+6>  XY-Wing  r5c4/r1c4+r4c6         <> 6    r1c6   extraneous
 <59+7>  XY-Wing  r5c4/r5c7+r8c4         <> 7    r8c7

I used eight moves, with a Skyscraper on 9 finishing it off.
