A single-stepper solves this puzzle with a 358 xy-wing having a pivot at r6c1 eliminating 3 at r7c4.
OR
a 2-stepper consisting of an x-wing on 6 in r57c58 eliminating 6 in r9c8
which exposes a BUG+1 for the kill.
After basics there is a BUG+2 which I was unable to solve if it had a solution. |

Yes, the BUG+2 had a solution. The BUG killers were 8 in r9c1 and 6 in r9c8. The 6 in r9c8 proves an 8 in r7c8, which acts as a pincer with the 8 in r9c1 to make r7c1<>8. Every BUG+2 that I've seen can be solved with pincers in my experience since I started using the pincer method. |
