the w-wing {4,7} with pincers in r3c1 and r1c7, strong links on 4 in r4, would be there if the 9 was false in r3c1...
if the 9 is true...
(9)r3c1 - (9=4)r3c2 - (4=5)r8c2 - (5)r8c7 = (5)r2c7 - (5)r1c9 = (5)r1c3
either way the 7 in r1c3 can't exist. for a one stepper.
also written as...
(4)r3c1 - (4)r4c1 = (4)r4c7 - (4=7)r1c7
||
(7)r3c1
||
(9)r3c1 - (9=4)r3c2 - (4=5)r8c2 - (5)r8c7 = (5)r2c7 - (5)r1c9 = (5)r1c3 |

Idem, but killing the (9)r3c1 first ...
Quote: | Finned X Wing (9)R29 : => r7c3<>9
X Wing (9)R29 : => r36c37<>9
W Wing (47) : (74)R3C1 4R4 (47)R1C7 : => r1c3,r3c7<>7 |

I tried a Ted-style external analysis, having no idea if I was doing it right, but it yielded r8c3<>3 and r1c7=7, which solved the puzzle. |
