Type 1 UR (27)
Kite (2); r3c6<>2
W-Wing (58 )

This is my last DAJ puzzle. Sad Did I do all 1,444 of them? I don't know, but if not, certainly I did a majority.

Thanks again Danny for providing me (and others) with 100s of hours of enjoyment. I wouldn't have done all of these if I didn't think they were as good as or better than those provided by the big-name sites.

And I learned a lot that I wouldn't have learned had I not done them and been able to see the solutions of others.

Marty,

I'm glad that you tackled so many of my puzzles and enjoyed them. I'm also glad to hear that you learned from working them and seeing the solution of others.

I also learned a lot from reviewing the solutions posted. My thanks to everyone who contributed solutions to my puzzles !!!!!!

Now, I'll tinker with my solver to see what I can improve and what I might add. Additional UR support is at the top of the list. Adding basic ALS features to my chain() routine may also be on the agenda.

Regards, Danny A. Jones

Not tempted to add "pseudocells" to your wing() routine Question Smile
Hopefully you might be persuaded to post some of the puzzles that you find while testing your new solver... Cool

Danny, thanks again. And as Marty said, thanks to all on this forum that I have learned so much from in the last year.

I have honoured your last puzzle by offering the simplest and most elegant solution. UR on 27 and ER on 28.

What did that American broadcaster say? “Good Night and Good Luck”.

ER 2 with hinge b5 SLr34c2; r3c6<>2

ARP (18): r2c3,r1c1,r8c1,r8c2 with fin (25)r8c1
If RP is true; r7c3<>8
If fin is true: ls(258)r578c1-(8)r1c1=(8)r2c3; r7c3<>8
