Announcement
I've been posting puzzles for some time now, and I'm approaching 2,000 messages. However, I've run short on variety in the puzzles I'm offering. So, it's time I retire. Today's puzzles will be my last.
I greatly appreciate the positive feedback that I've received. I enjoyed posting puzzles and I'm very glad that you enjoyed solving them.
Regards, Danny A. Jones |

Thanks very much for all your puzzles and explanations, Danny.
Is it time for you to start jigsaw, diagonal or killer puzzles?

Completely unacceptable. In fact, I forbid you to quit, and that's final.
Your fan,

Very sorry to hear that Danny. If you should reconsider, a bunch of people will be very pleased. |

Thanks for all you've done Danny.
As I said - I think you should offer some lucky media group your services - at the right price. Your storehouse of puzzles was excellent and I think made everybody better at this game!
I also hope you have some heuristic/AI software on your solver that was able to gauge responses and help in puzzle generation/design.
What next ?
Good Luck.
PS Haven't we already established elsewhere that you are a bit too young to retire ?

Danny,
The first day of April is normally the day to conduct a major joke. I can only hope that you elected to announce this one on the last day of the month.
Personally, I have enjoyed your puzzles immensely; they have been the source of my Sudoku development. I have also greatly appreciated your support answering my questions and offering suggestions when I made blunders. I think of you as the "heart" of this forum.
Do enjoy retirement.

How sad to read about your desicion. I do thank you for all the fun you gave me with your puzzles. Especially in the end where there were some two- or three steppers. However I suppose my memory is enough bad so I can go back to your first puzzle and start again and have the same efforts.
Thank you

Long story short ... my retirement has been redefined as an interim sabatical. I was (apparently) too critical of the quality of puzzles I had to offer.
[Edit: corrected spelling. Thanks Mogulmeister!]

Like some NFL quarterbacks, there are a lot of throws still in that arm!
(Or, as a fan, I hope there are!)

I was mentioning to one of the other posters that this thread seems to be were the action is.
I think Danny has provided plenty of food for though with his puzzle generation.
I also think his puzzles have been near pefect for people who are now a part of SSAA

Hello Everyone,
Interest seems to be waning and I must admit that I've run out of steam on posting puzzles. So, today's puzzles clean out my inventory and officially mark the end of my posting puzzles.
I've had a great time providing puzzles and seeing the interesting solutions. Thank You for your participation!!!
I'll still hang around to answer questions about my puzzles and try to be helpful if someone runs across something I can help explain.
Regards, Danny A. Jones |

Oh No!!! I am so disappointed. I know I did not post often because I was always a day or 2 behind; but I did at least one of your puzzles EVERY day. I always enjoyed your comments & JC's, Peter's, Ted's, & Norm's solutions; even though I mostly was a "Marty-type" solver. I guess I will go back to this site's Very Hards. I just hope Sam has included some with your variety to his mix. Thank you very much for your time & effort. Good luck to you in your future endeavors.

Sure that's not 1443?
I'll echo the thanks. As I type this I'm working on my 1430th, give or take a few. |

Assuming that Keith's count is accurate, and I have no reason to doubt it, then that places the number of puzzles that I reviewed but didn't post in the neighborhood of 4K. Yes, it was time to retire!!!
