I couldn't do a thing with this. After an ER, AIC, XY-Wing and M-wing failed to open anything up, I turned to my Medusa crutch. That resulted in a wrap which reduced the grid to a BUG+2. |

A wing-like move did some damage...
Code: | w-wing(24) with pseudocell/als ; (2=4)r9c4 - r1c4=r1c9 - (47=2)r7c98 ; r9c8<>2
skyscraper(5) r2, r5 ; r3c8<>5 |

The initial turbot step is extraneous. The XY-Chain is deadly!
Code: | r1 b8 Empty Rectangle <> 4 r8c9 -or-
r1c6 2-String Kite <> 4 r8c9
+--------------------------------------------------------------+
| 9 2 7 | d45 8 3 | 6 1 c45 |
| 45 6 458 | 457 2 1 | 4578 3 9 |
| 1 458 3 | 9 6 47 | 4578 578 2 |
|--------------------+--------------------+--------------------|
| 6 1589 1589 | 3 4 2 | 5789 5789 578 |
| 2 3 45 | 8 7 9 | 1 45 6 |
| 7 489 489 | 1 5 6 | 2 489 3 |
|--------------------+--------------------+--------------------|
| 8 14 124 | 6 9 5 | 3 a27 b47 |
| 3 459 2459 | 247 1 47 | 458 6 58 |
| 45 7 6 | e24 3 8 | 459 59-2 1 |
+--------------------------------------------------------------+
# 62 eliminations remain
XY-Chain: (2=7)r7c8 =4r7c9 =5r1c9 =4r1c4 =2r9c4 => r9c8<>2
r36 X-Wing <> 8 r4c2
BUG+1 = 5 r4c3

Ted: your chain is an ALS too long:
(4)r8c6=(4)r3c6-r1c4=r1c9-(4=7)r7c9-(7=2)r7c8-r9c8=(2)r9c4 => r9c4<>4 |
