Looking at the potential 56 DP in boxes 47: either r67c3=2 or r6c1=8. Common outcome; r2c8=3. |

A short xy-chain...
Code: | xy-chain ; (3=7)r2c8 - (7=2)r5c8 - (2=1)r5c3 - (1=3)r9c3 ; r2c3<>3 |

Howdy Luke,
Have I messed up a AMUG again? I considered r67c3=5 as part of the SIS since they are not an explicit AMUG digit for those two cells.

Peter, I think Keith would call your xy-chain a xy-wing with pseudocell (23)r58c3.

As usual, I also look for reliable anp()s and found this one.......
anp(34=5)r21c3-(5=8)r3c2-(8=2)r3c8-r5c8=(2-1)r5c3=(1-3)r8c3; r8c3<>3=1
This path uses a bit of my original AMUG and also part of Peter's xy-chain.

It looks like you've taken the BUG-Lite approach. For the MUG, digits <256> are allowed in all six cells. |

Stumbled across this after reading Luke's solution and reviewing output from my solver.
Code: | after basics
+-----------------------------------------------------+
| 358 6 345 | 127 45 129 | 129 38 17 |
| 2 1 34 | 8 47 69 | 69 37 5 |

# 57 eliminations remain
<56> UR r67c13 => (5)r67c2 - (5)r3c2

I’ve messed up many a MUG, but I don’t think you have here.
DPs are fascinating, and it’s interesting this one was seen by different players for its UR, BUG-Lite, or MUG possibilities.
I saw it as a MUG:
Code: | +------------------+
| . . . |
| . . . |
| 56 25 256 |
+------------------+
| 56 25 256 |
| . . . |
| . . . |
+------------------+ |
…or a composite of overlapping URs: Code: | +------------------+
| . . . |
| . . . |
| 56 . 56 |
+------------------+
| 56 . 56 |
| . . . |
| . . . |
+------------------+ |
Code: | +------------------+
| . . . |
| . . . |
| . 25 25 |
+------------------+
| . 25 25 |
| . . . |
| . . . |
+------------------+ |
Only the 8s prevent the MUG, so it was a quick and chainless kill. |
