I noted two moves, then stopped looking. Eight-cell Remote Pairs; r3c9, r7c8<>26 -or- Kite with one transport; r9c1<>2

I'm not familiar with a "Classic" Remote Pairs. I assume it has something to do with the number of cells involved. I now notice that a four-cell Remote Pairs sets r3c9<>26, so my eight-cell wasn't necessary.

How about an M-Wing on 26 with pincers in r1c2 and r9c9; r3c9<>2.

A "classic" remote pair is a chain of cells all of which have the same pair of unknowns. Strong links in both candidates.

My general (non-classic) remote pair requires that the end cells have the same two candidates, but that they are only connected by strong links on one candidate.
24 - 24 - 24- 24
The end cells are pincers on 2 and 4.
24 - 34 -14 - 24
If the links on 4 are all strong, the end cells are pincers on 2 and 4.

Based on that definition, wouldn't my eight-cell chain qualify, even though it turned out to unnecessary? All eight cells contain just 26.
