ANOTHER METHOD WHEN YOU ARE GRID_LOCKED..........

When you are stuck and find no progress try the following:

Re-draw the numbers in a blank grid with original (upto where you are done) numbers and grid turned 90 degrees.

We get to thinking of the grid numbers from a different angle and solutions start to flow again.

It does not work if you just turn the grid with the numbers written side-ways. It disturbs and you are dis-oriented with the numbes and the logic and the assumptions get cramped.

I agree. Some of us, think more "horizontal", some more "vertical" and by turning the board, we will look for the things we had at a lower priority.

It helps also when playing chess. If you can look at the position from the angle of your opponent, even only sometimes for a couple of seconds, you will get new ideas.
