Yes, digit (6) seems to be a key to this puzzle.
Another variation on (6) is a w-wing(26)r1c3|r3c6 SL(2)r2c16 plus transport; it has the same deletion also.
(6=2)r1c3-r2c1=r2c6-(2=6)r3c6-r6c6=(6)r5c4; r5c3<>6 |

Also what I learned as a Fin Transport, but others call something else: X-Wing on 6 in c14 except for extra 6 in r9c1. Transport 6 from r9c1 to r6c2; r5c3<>6. |
