It seems to me as this site slowly is dying because there are not so many interesting puzzles which can be pasted in and disussed about. I do not have the knowledges to copy/paste, but some of you do, so why not somebody restart and here publish the impossible ones from Menneske, because about them and solving technics it is a lot say.
Kind regards

Lars,
Do you not know how to copy and paste in general or do you just not know how to copy and paste puzzles in here? |

Just how to transfer puzzles from one site to another. With ctrl/c and ctrl/v I am quite familiar |

Go to Menneske.com.
Drag your mouse (left click) to highlight the puzzle. Press Ctrl+c.
Go here: http://nataraj.0catch.com/fmtsudoku.htm
(Bookmark this page.)
Click your cursor in the blue box, then press Ctrl+v. Click "Format".
(Some of the time this site does not work. If there is a problem you will see a button named "Import" rather than "Format". Come back later.)
You are now at Draw/Play at the Daily Sudoku site, with the Menneske puzzle loaded. Click "ASCII". Click in the popup window, and select Ctrl+c.
Go to the Sudoku discussion page (here), and start a new message. Click Ctrl+v and the puzzle is pasted in the message.
This is explained here, but I am sure it should be updated:

Many of this site's regulars are now spending more time at Players'.

Where they use this site's capabilities to post their puzzles. Go figure.

Not that hard to figure. Daily crashed for a while, players moved to Players' in the interim. Now that Daily's back up, Players' has caught on.
The history of sudoku boards is a rather tragic one. Players' has a huge gash in the middle of its history, and Eureka seems to be gone forever. When events occur, the small surviving community will find the islands. |

No. I was not succesful to transfer puzzles from Menneske. But some of you are, so please copy the impossibles. Of course I myself can use the Menneske site, but it is more fun to do it here and to read the comments from everybody. And normally they are really hard, so all help will be appreciated

in the Menneske puzzle,
empty cells are apparently really empty (no dots),
and i can't get Nataraj's software to see them
(it responds "Puzzle has less than 81 cells").
the workaround was somewhat clumsy
- at Menneske, use menu -- View Source
(or whatever your web-browser calls it:
to see the HTML)
- find the 9 rows of the puzzle
each starts with tr class="grid"
- copy them all to NotePad
- replace all --> dot
- the result can be pasted into Nataraj's software

Pat,
It works fine for me. I use a PC.
At Menneske, try clicking the "print" link and copy the puzzle from there.
Nataraj' site is a little buggy: You must have a "Format" option. If you have an "Import" button it will not work.
Keith
Edit: I use Mozilla Firefox.

It works for me either with the print version or the pre-print version. |

sorry, i'm on Internet Explorer
and i have the problem either way (before Print and after) looking back now on my workaround
i see it can be greatly simplified,
HTML not needed- paste the puzzle into your text editor (e.g. NotePad)
- replace all double-space --> dot
- the result can be pasted into Nataraj's software

Pat,
I don't know why you have a problem. Way back when, Nataraj spent a lot of time getting Menneske cut&paste to work. As I recall, he was pretty upset that I asked for it.
So far as I (and Marty) can see, it still works well.
If you want to do a screen sharing session to resolve your issue, send me a PM.
I can do Skype or GoToMeeting.
