I have gone over this 100 times and am sure the answer to where to go next is obvious however.......

5x9 28x xx1
128 37x 94x
6x7 91x x82

713 x29 8xx
26x 8x7 193
xxx x31 x27

x5x x68 xx9
x7x xx3 x18
xxx xx2 xxx

And this isn't even a very hard puzzle! Thanks.

Hi,
I do not know where you got it from, and who told you that it is not a difficult one.

You will not be able to solve it with the "usual" techniques.

Did you try "Swordfish", "Coloring", "Forcing Chains", "Nishio" before using the brute "Trial and Error" ?

I keep it as a delicate for myself and will take my time to try to kill it slowly with one of the techniques. If it, will not work, I will put it on my list of "UNSOLVED by logic". This list has now "only" about 6 positions (out of a couple of hunderts).

Can you deliver me the "initial position" for my collection and disclose the source?

Thank you in advance.

see u,

BTW, the DRAW program is telling us, for your position:

This puzzle may not be solvable using simple logic alone. It may require look ahead logic that this tool doesn't understand, or trial and error, or it may have more than one solution, or no legal solution. This tool should clearly be able to tell the difference, but can't right now!

Hello again, Holly!

This puzzle (from August 18, on this site) would be easier to resolve if you included all the clues from the original setup.

You have omitted the "7" from row 9, column 7 in the original puzzle. dcb Smile
