				| Rated Fiendish 2.2.0.1 Remarkably difficult for this grade, but there is a one-step chain.

				| I despise looking for chains, because for me, it's a total trial-and-error process. I did try to no avail, although there was more I could've tried.

 A is not 9. This is not an XY-chain.

 A=9, B=5, C=4, D=9.  Cannot be.

 JC,

 Nice find! I stared at this puzzle for two days and did not see that!

 JC, what exactly are you asking me?

 Nice find on the Kite, which for reasons I don't understand, Danny would say it's not a Kite.

 Keith, what did you see to home in on the 9 in r2c4?

 Marty, IIRC, you once wrote the same about coloring. So, from your POV : what is left to solve a puzzle ? | Marty R. wrote: | | I despise looking for chains, because for me, it's a total trial-and-error process |

 JC, if I said that about coloring I'll take your word for it. As to what's left to solve a puzzle, that's irrelevant. That doesn't alter the statement I made about despising looking for chains because it's a trial-and-error process. I do it because I have to, but that doesn't make it any more likeable or logical.

 I would call it trial and error, in that I was not looking for a pattern. I was doing mental "what if" on the bivalue cells, looking for contradictions.
