This puzzle seems to be wrongly classified as Very Hard. More likely it should be about Medium. |

By this site's definition, a Very Hard requires one or more of an X-wing, XY-wing, or XYZ-wing to solve.
Easy, Medium, and Hard puzzles can be solved by singles only.

I found this easy to solve without x-wing or harder, hence it should only be Medium. |

At this point, what did you do?

Hi Keith, I did this again and came to the same situation you have given.
I had a look at my previous (successful) effort, and there were not enough "scratchings" for me to reconstruct how I came to the conclusion. So I can only conclude that I made a "mistake" that actually provided a correct outcome;-(
I have had some puzzles in the past where I have not agreed with the category of difficulty, but only a few VH that were not. (I've been doing puzzles from this site since 2007)
Probably not the place to ask, but can you enlighten me as to why some puzzles print out with the Difficulty on the PDF while others do not?
BTW, my slogan is "A Sudoku a day keeps the Alzheimer Doctor away!"
Thanks,
Noel |

Don't know. Probably just another bug.
At one time there was a problem with people front-running and getting puzzles many days before their intended publication date. Sam may have tried to mask the difficulty at that time, but I really so not know.
By the way, you need to turn bbcode on in your posts if you want the quotes to display correctly.
