immediately by a 45-7 XY-Wing pivot r2c3 removing the 7

Lots of x-wings; then
457 xy-wing at R2C3, R1C9 cannot be 7

I'm confused, did I miss an elimination of 2 in r9c9? |

No, the solutions of the XWing{2r17c4, 2r179c9} only exclude 2r7c7. |

No, the solutions of the XWing{2r17c4, 2r179c9} only exclude 2r7c7. |
So it's a sort of extended X wing rather than the simple 2 rows or two columns
type?

Type : Finned X-Wing
Note :
If the solutions of a set of all the candidates of a digit in N units exclude a set of candidates, than that set is simply called an N-Fish. Or, if
N=1 : a "Cyclopsfish" [Types : Pointing/Claiming or Locked Candidates type 1/2 or Box-line/Line-box interaction],
N=2 : an X-Wing [Types : Pointing/Claiming, Basic/Finned/Sashimi X-Wing, [Grouped] Skyscraper, [Grouped] 2-Stringed Kite, Empty Rectangle, Turbot Fish],
N=3 : a Swordfish [Types : Basic Swordfish, Unfinned/Finned/Sashimi Basic/Franken/Mutant Swordfish, Kraken X-Wing]
...
Due to the numerous types of an N-Fish, why should we bother about them !? |

I sort of agree. All I look for these days are (grouped) strong links and then figure out if they make kites or skyscrapers or whatever.
I can't remember the last time I ever said: Aha! A swordfish.
