Hi everyone

My solution with one step

Quote:
[(5)R6C4-(5)R6C9=(5)R7C9-(5)R9C8 and (5)R6C4-(5=8 )-(8)R8C6=(8)R8C89-(8)R9C8)]=>R9C8=Ø=>-5R6C4=>stte

Ciao a tutti
Paolo

Paolo,

Help me understand. I think I can follow until the part I've highlighted in red.
I think it says that r8c8 or 9 is 8, then r9c8 is not 8, then I don't know what this means: R9C8=Ø and then it concludes with r6c4<>5.

The two logical chains both start from the hypothesis that R6C4 is equal to 5. Both lead to a negation, R9C8 <> 5 and R9C8 <> 8, for this reason in the cell R9C8 no candidate can be entered and is therefore empty. At this point the initial hypothesis R6C4 = 5 is certainly false. With the Ø symbol I simply wanted to indicate that the cell R9C8 becomes an empty set (set theory).

Ciao a tutti

OK, I did not notice that there were two chains in there.
