Oh, now Marty's being just downright silly! Anyone on earth would see the 39-8 XY Wing (or the 89-3 XY Wing ) LONG before they'd look at some silly coloring solution! Come on Marty! Don't be silly! You must have too much free time on your hands to avoid finding the obvious - even after you've found it! (The next thing you'll know Keith has evolved to making pencil marks!!) |

I don't think Keith will sink as low as pencil marks. I posted yesterday that I'm trying to avoid the X, XY and XYZ wings. I've been here for 12 years and much of that time has been spent learning techniques which I like to use from time to time. |

No, but if I know a puzzle only requires a restricted set of techniques, I will look for those.
And yes, I still only use pencil marks for what I find to be x-hard puzzles. Pencil marks are a last resort for me.
I am not being grand. It's just that I find pencil marks to be a distraction from visualizing the patterns in a puzzle.
