BUG+2 8r3c2=2r3c8-(2=8)r7c8=> -8r3c8
Or last term -(2=8)r3c3=> -8r2c2

I think Gianni's second 'W wing' is a bit more complex. Obviously if r3c3=2: r7c3=8 and r7c8=2. What the 'W wing' on r1 shows is that r3c3 and r7c8 can't both be 2 so therefore both must be 8. Don't know what this is called though.....

Here is Gianni's explanation of the 2nd W-Wing
W-Wing 2,8 in r3c3,r7c8 connected by number 2 in r1c18 and -8 in r7c3,r3c8

This is an ordinary W-Wing. Hugh, you say it's more complex, but more complex than what? I don't know what you're trying to say about both can't be 2 so both must be 8. That is certainty true, but can't you make a similar comment about every W-Wing?

The pattern is interesting with the 2s in r1 connecting two separate W-Wings on 28. I don't know if I've ever seen that.

Perhaps if Keith sees this, he can add something intelligent.
