I'm sure someone out there must have a better one-step solution that this one.
(2-1)r2c8=(1-6)r5c8=r5c4-(6=4)r4c4-(4=3)r4c9-(34=5)r4c3-(35=8)r4c1-(8=5)r9c1-(5=4)r9c3-(45=9)r9c7-(9=2)r8c8; contradiction => r2c8 <> 2; stte.

Hi Clement! Isn't your starting grid missing the candidate 4 in r5c7? My English translation of your solution would be as follows: If r6c7 = 8, then r5c7 = 9 and r6c5 = 3, so row 5 columns 5, 2, and 4 = 8, 4, and 6 etc. but both Gianni's and my starting grids also include the candidate 4 in r5c7 which seems to spoil your solution. Am I overlooking something? I couldn't find a way to eliminate it from the starting grid (e.g. with LC's or any other basics). Thanks, Don. |

Thanks, Don. | Yes, you are quite right, the candidate 4 is missing in r5c7, I might have accidentally deleted it when cleaning pencil marks. The chain in my solution should be counted as invalid |

(2-5)r7c9 = (58)r9c71 - (8=3|5|46)r4c1394 - (6)r5c4 = (6-1)r5c8 = (1-2)r2c8 = (2)r2c9 => - 2r7c9; btte |
