Could someone tell me what this item from the "Help" section means:
"Hold down the <Ctrl> or <Alt> key and press a number to more than one option as pencil mark. Pressing <Ctrl> or <Alt> and the number again removes the pencil mark." |

Apart from the bad English (which I've fixed) it means that Ctrl or Alt allow you add candidates to a cell. Try it and it should be obvious. The reason for the redundant Ctrl or Alt is that in some browser/OS combinations, Ctrl allows you xx between tabs in the browser, while Alt fulfills the same function in other combinations :(

This is how the rewritten help segment looks:
"Hold down the <Ctrl> or <Alt> key to add multiple numbers to a square as pencil marks. Pressing <Ctrl> or <Alt> and the number again removes the pencil mark"
Sam, I just discovered a most helpful feature. Holding down one of those keys and typing a number removes ANY pencil mark. The second sentence implies that only pencil marks added in accordance with the first sentence can be removed. |
