Need help in how to get hint using drawer. I see how to add partial solution but what triggers the drawer to provide a hint? |

Click on the "Draw!" button at the bottom. |

Strange. I have used the DRAW facility several times to get (successfully!)
a print of the queries mentioned in various fora but I have NEVER been
given a hint.
The input is displayed and options given to print in large or medium size
but no hint of a hint anywhere! The only addition to the initial input is a
warning that Sudoku does not always have a unique solution - but this
very helpful generality is not reproduced on the print.
Whilst on this point, it would be very useful if the draw facility were to
allow say 30 characters of user annotation. The archive prints have their
pre-set annotation with the date and grade. With prints from the DRAW
facility they are all anonymous. It would be useful to enter something
like "Guardian Classic 28" etc to note the origin or purpose for wanting
to print the particular puzzle.

After you've clicked "draw", you should see a "hint" button on the right -- this is assuming that the draw thing knows how to solve the puzzle and you don't get the "no unique solution" warning.

Yep -- good plan. I've put it on the wishlist, but usual caveat for implementation time apply.

Hi Alan
This should be working now. Let me know if it doesn't do what it should.
