as if I didn't have other things to worry about in life ... this thread was posted over at the players forum... I am not going to pretend I have any clue how to solve this monster, just wanted to make it public on this forum.
here is the thread:

here is the grid:
Code: | . . . | . . . | . 3 9

Oh, no problem
Code: | r6c5<>7(r5c5<>1,r6c6<>6,r6c2<>6,r4c2<>4,r1c7<>1),r2c5<>3,r8c5<>4(r8c3<>7,r1c3<>1,r1c4<>8),r7c9<>1,r3c4<>9,r8c6<>4,r7c1<>7,r1c7<>1
|
Set r6c5 to 7 and continue with basics, as long as you can.
Then set r5c5 to 1 and continue, until you get a contradiction somewhere. Back to that position, now you can eliminate 1 from r5c5. Continue, until stuck again, then set r6c6 to 6 and so on.
With the contradiction for r1c7=1 you will get one (with r1c7<>1) that shows, that r6c5 cannot be 7.
The rest is even easier. |
