				| so far, only the hacking solution: xy-chains starting with parts of the (useless) 18-19-89 xy-wing. 
 I'll try to find the advanced step tomorrow
 
 edit: Medusa did it. I started with one of those "4"s that all hang together in a big chain/loop. No time now, I'll write it down tomorrow.

 where I've marked just part of the medusa coloring ... just the green part plus the one "8" in r3c8....
 
 from (g) r7c2=8 => r9c1=1 => r9c8=6
 from (r) r3c8=8 => r3c8<>6 => r9c8=6
 
 we get r9c8=6 and the puzzle is solved.
 
 edit:
 in other words, a discontinuous nice loop:
 r9c8=6 has strong links to both r9c8=1 and r3c8=6 and from there it's alternating weak and strong links all the way around

				| That semi-remote naked pair (aka W-Wing) certainly does it. 
 I was referring to an XY Chain that pretty much follows nataraj's color path and removes <1> from R9C8.
 
 Those who want to practice coloring from (or transporting) pincers can play around with digit <8> in this puzzle.

 I looked for W-Wings, but obviously missed this one. However, a simple XY-Chain established the same pincers and made the same eliminations.
