Welcome to the forum. There is an XY-Wing pivoted in r5c4. Don't hesitate to ask more questions if needed.

Robert,

The {37}r6c6 - {39}r5c4 - {79}r5c1 XY-Wing also removes <7> from r5c6.

It's good to remember to check all of the common peers ("buddies") of the pincers when looking for eliminations. Sometimes it makes a key difference to the result.

In the grid given at the start of this thread, there is a solution from an XY wing that removes the 7 from r6c1. The same conclusion (virtually) can be reached via a W-Wing - the 39s in boxes 5 and 6 operating on row 4 deny a 3 to r6c6 and hence deny the 7 to r6c1 (the W wing works thus. Both of 39s cannot be 9 since that would deny a 9 in row 4. Therefore one of them must be 3 and since r6c6 can see both of the 39s it cannot be 3!)
