I entered a puzzle from another source to have the computer give me a hint. I then tried to figure out how it came to the conclusion that it did and could not. I then went into the "other source" puzzle discussion group to see if it might be of help but when I got there I couldn't even understand the gargan used by the players and hosts. Is there a place in "dailysudoku" that gives a better (simpler) description of the gargan and techniques used to solve these puzzles? I am not a novice, I can solve most of the "hard" puzzles. Thanks JW |

You don't mention any specific terms or techniques for which you need an explanation.
May I suggest a search engine? First, do a search on "sudoku glossary". Then try a search on "sudoku techniques". You'll get plenty of hits and can probably find much, if not most, of the information you're seeking.
And you can always ask questions here. There are plenty of people willing to help, especially if your questions are a little more specific rather than open-ended.
Good luck. |

marty thanks, I didn't even know how to ask the specific question after I saw all those terms I didn't understand. You actually answered the important question, I should have thought of that myself. Thanks again, Jerry |
