I entered this into the draw tool and asked for a hint. I got 8 in r4c5.
For r2c5, I have 5,8
For r4c5, I have 7,8
For r8c5, I have 5,7,8

For r4c1 - 1,3,6,7
for r4c6 - 1,6,7,8
For r4c7 - 5,7
For r4c8 - 3,5,7
For r4c9 - 3,5,8

Could anyone tell me why 8 would go into r4c5?

I think I've got it. The only place for a 7 in box 6 would be row 4, so as default r4c5 would have to be 8.
