Is this puzzle rated "hard" or "very hard"?
This puzzle is initially rated as "Hard" but when I press the "Grade" button on the initial puzzle, it changes the difficulty rating to "very hard".
Why would that be?

This is simply because my grading criteria evolve -- I've recently started to semi-manually distinguish between hard and very hard, so as to provide a bit more challenge. The draw/play code is a little out of sync with how I'm deciding between the two. The initial printed grade is therefore more correct with respect to my current thinking. Nearly all of the recent "hard" puzzles would be called "very hard" under the old grading scheme. It will catch up eventually.
