Here is another one I am stuck on.

The next move is supposed to be a 3 in r2c7. Please explain.

The next move is supposed to be a 3 in r2c7. Please explain.


First, there's a "7" in c5 which shouldn't be because of the "79" pair.

Look at box 5. The "8" must go in row 5, which eliminates the "8" in r5c9, leaving r3c9 as the only "8" in c9. Thus, the "3" is left standing in r2c7 after the "8" is eliminated.
