I have an old puzzle that I have been trying to get for quite awhile with no sucess. I would appreciate some help. Here is where I am.

The 9 in the second row occupies box 1, which is to say that the 9 in box 1 lies in the second row. This reduces the third column to three pairs.
Then check the rows occupied by 3 in boxes 7 and 8. This discloses another pair.
At this stage the final trick, an x-wing, appears.

The x-wing I saw concerned the placing of 2 in the second and sixth columns.
