It is possible to use formatting such as bold or color in an aligned grid. However, the posting method does not involve the "Code" method.

First, these instructions assume one is already familiar with the method discussed in the topic "How to align your grid when posting a message."

Prepare an aligned grid using Notepad or some other editor using a fixed xx font such as Courier.

Next, insert the formatting BBCodes where you want the formatting to appear. (BBCode info can be accessed from the message editing screen; the link is under "Options" on the left side of the screen.)

Finally, you need to insert the HTML "pre" (for pre-formatted text) commands at the beginning and end of your grid. This is shown in the examples below.

It is a very good idea to "Preview" your message to be certain it will display as you intended and that there isn't some error.

One more thing: for this method to work, HTML must be enabled in your message post. If HTML is disabled in your Profile, then you must uncheck the "Disable HTML in this post" box immediately below the message text box on the editing screen.
