Play this puzzle online at the Daily Sudoku site
When I play it online the hint tells me a 4 goes in R5C4, thus eliminating the 3, can anyone explain how this is done? Or if there are other solutions? Thanks. I have tried to look for X wings and xy chains but am unable to find any. I am not very good with the other techniques that are used in VH sudokus (eg RE UR and BUG) |

I'm not sure why it suggests 4 there either. But anyway, in R9 there's a triple 136 (in C239) which kills the 3 in R9C5, making it a 4 - so now R5C4 must indeed be a 4. |
