Today's DB flies home with an x-wing, an xy-wing, and a w-wing.

I must have taken the rocket: flew even faster ...
one UR (19) r49c79 solves r4c9=8 and done.
(I took an x-wing 6 r38c56 in stride. It was in the very early stages and allowed me to set r6c4=6 while still sweeping the floors. The xwing is not needed, that cell can be solved by basic techniques alone)
position after basics:
Code: |
+--------------------------+--------------------------+--------------------------+
| 3 8 1 | 4 2 7 | 5 9 6 |
| 7 6 9 | 8 3 5 | 4 1 2 |
| 45 2 45 | 9 1 6 | 3 8 7 |
+--------------------------+--------------------------+--------------------------+
| 2 459 6 | 57 45789 48 | 19 3 189 |
| 48 3 7 | 2 489 1 | 6 5 89 |

| 9 7 3 | 1 6 2 | 8 4 5 |

I had an XY-wing then, ignoring the UR, there are two X-wings on <4> and a skyscraper on <5>, leading to another XY-wing which solves it.

I started with the W-Wing on 45 in boxes 1 and 7, then Type 1 URs on 19 and 59 finished it off. |
