The Free Press (also LA Times) Thursday puzzle has been more difficult the past two weeks. I used to do all but the Friday puzzle without pencil marks, but no more!

Yes. There is also an XY-wing which does not solve it. I did not look for anthing fancy.
Now, to the Friday puzzle.
