Hi,
If you can't explain for every move, what was the logic used,
your solution will be of almost no use for human solvers.
If you use a computer program, than it is of interest what algorithm you have implemented, and of course, which are the Sudoku puzzles your program can't solve.
It is of less interest to organize a fight "computer" agains/versus "human".
Something like this was done with chess. And we know of the results.

1. actually i used only the "candidates" shown by program, it greatly reduces the "dirty" work, while the "logic" becomes almost automatical (at least for the easy/medium sdk's).
2. i had no purpose to compete with any-body/thing, i presented solution score(sheet) to those who may wish to use it as a learning tool. you know the final position usually presented gives nothing from this p.o.w.
3. is there any program which allows to produce such scoresheets? it'd be great!
4. enjoy, zaks |
