I never needed any Advanced techniques to solve this puzzle and I did basics twice to verify that I did not mess up the original result. After basics,
Code:

 *--------------------------------------------------------------------*
 | 5      1      68     | 2      68     3      | 9      7      4      |
 | 689    4      7      | 1      5689   568    | 3      2      68     |
 | 689    2      3      | 4      689    7      | 1      68     5      |
 |----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
 | 368    35689  2      | 7      1      5689   | 46     4568   68     |
 | 7      5689   689    | 568    4      5689   | 2      1      3      |
 | 4      568    1      | 3      568    2      | 7      568    9      |
 |----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
 | 36     7      5      | 9      2      4      | 8      36     1      |
 | 1      3689   689    | 568    7      568    | 46     346    2      |
 | 2      68     4      | 68     3      1      | 5      9      7      |
 *--------------------------------------------------------------------*

A kite and a xy-wing with a pincer transport completed the puzzle.

An XY-Wing with pincer transport is the same as any other XY-Chain with pincer transport. It qualifies as a Chain among the solving techniques I listed. You used an Extreme step, and there's nothing wrong with that.

The best way to be certain, in situations like this, is to ask yourself if you solved the puzzle using techniques from the ratings below Advanced. If not, then your solution qualifies as Advanced or higher.

On a related note, I haven't qualified where all of the URs belong. I'm hoping that it won't become an issue.

Danny,

My comments were not intended to be of a critical nature but strictly informative. The whole issue of ranking degrees of difficulty is just too abstract to spend time dealing with it. The fun is in doing the puzzle, not analyzing the level of difficulty.

Please keep them coming........

I obviously missed Ted's kite and XY-Wing. I used the Type 4 UR on 46, an ER on 6, a very-rare-for-me XYZ transport and an XY-Wing Chain, 34-36-36-36-46.
