This puzzle turned out to be far more interesting than my solver's original solution indicated. For sure, bypassing the XY-Chain leaves two alternative solution paths that caught my eye. The UR path was the most interesting.

BTW: I hope you like turbot fish! Smile

I never saw any UR possibilities that I could do anything with, nor did I bypass the XY-Chain. My typical scattershot approach took me through an XY-Wing (495), coloring, two multi-colorings and two ERs, all on 9, a W-Wing (25) with pincer transport and a finishing XY-Chain.

I had an experience similar to Marty, including a lack of useful URs.

Most steps involved digit <4> & <9>: a skyscraper <9>, kite <4>, w-wing <49>, and coloring <9> twice. I finished with a w-wing <25> and w-wing <14>.

Ted: Your <49> W-Wing destroyed a <4> present in my UR.

Marty: I didn't reconstruct your solution, but it's possible that you also eliminated a candidate in my UR.

Code:
 probable grid before W-Wing (or my 4-cell XY-Chain)

 <14> UR in [r56c27]
 [r56c2]=2             => [r6c3]<>2
 [r 6c7]=5 => [r6c8]=2 => [r6c3]<>2
