I skipped the fish.
UR type 1 {1,8} removes 1 and 8 from r3c8
skyscraper on 4 removes 4 from r6c7 and r4c2
xy-wing {1,7,8} removes 8 from r13c7 and r4c8
gets the grid to here.

I started with a skyscraper 4,
xy-wing 178,
W-wing 18 with Transport,
Remote Pair 17 TOGETHER WITH Type1 UR 18 deletes <17> & <18> in r3c8,
kite 7 makes a deletion plus transport,
kite 8,
xy-wing478.
After completing this puzzle, I read the hint in the original post by Danny and realized that I made the noted deletion in step five, the kite 7, of my solution. Also, my first three steps were identical to steps 2 thru 4 by Norm, and I used the Type1 UR 18 in combination with a Remote Pair 17.
Another fun puzzle Danny......
