Are you tired of easy Monday newspaper puzzles. Solve this one w/o using a chain -- including XY-Chains and extended XY-Wings.
Code: | +-----------------------+
| 4 . 8 | . . 6 | . . 9 |
| . . 7 | . . . | . . . |
| 1 9 . | 7 . . | 8 6 4 |
|-------+-------+-------|
| . . 3 | 6 7 . | . 5 . |
| . . . | 5 . . | . 8 . |
| 6 . . | . . . | 7 . . |
|-------+-------+-------|
| . . 9 | . . 8 | 4 . . |
| . . 1 | 9 5 . | . . . |
| 5 . 6 | . . . | . . . |

But they can't be used together w/o several earlier eliminations.

I think I satisfied the givens and completed the puzzle with five moves. Quote: | skyscraper 2 in r68c6,
hidden UR 27 in r57c12,
xyz-wing 127 in r9c6,
skyscraper 2 r59c7,
BUG+1 sets r4c7=1

A very fun puzzle. Thanks again Danny

Congratulations Ted !!!
By finding your second step at the same time (or before) your first step, you managed to circumvent the ugly ending that I encountered. |
