I used the W-Wing on 16 and a couple of ERs to no avail, then Medusa-ed my way out of the impasse. (My talent lies in finding the useless moves  )
I have no way of knowing what my grid was like at the time, but the probability is that the M-Wing was there and I missed it. |

Medusa coloring will find the M-wing, if it happens to be in the cluster you chose ...

Start in R1C6 with 2 red and 5 green. Color 2 to R6C4 and then 5 to R7C4. R7C6 sees both 5r and 5g, so the candidate 5 is eliminated.
That's why it is called an M-wing. It is (I think) the simplest case of Medusa coloring).

I started with a xy-wing 35-8 with pivot 35 in r7c6 and pseudocell pincer 38 in row3 to remove 8 from r3c4,
then another xy-wing 13-6 with pivot 13 in r3c6 and pincer 36 by (3)r3c6 - (3=5)r7c6 - (5)r7c4 = (5) r6c4 - (5=1)r5c5 - (1=6)r9c5; delete 6 r3c5 & r8c4,
still another xy-wing -125 with pivot 25 in r6c4 to delete 1 in r89c5,
and finally a x-wing 1 in r34c69.
