Just a quick note to say that I've indeed verified that the second position shown above can be reached easily if we put the "9" at r8c2. If that "9" is not in the initial puzzle, there's no way to reach the second position shown in Daykart's original message (and the puzzle has multiple solutions -- plus it's asymmetrical). So it must have been a typo. dcb
