here is a two stepper.
the UR 17 in r28c78 says that the 4 in r2c8 and the 56 pair in r18c8 can't both be false. leads to the above chain/image, which eliminates the 5 in r9c8 and the 7 in r8c8.
leads to a xyz-wing to finish. |

I also found a two step solution.
Remote Pair 56 in r1c8, r2c9, r2c6 & r9c6; r9c8<>5
xy-wing 27-9 with vertex 27 in r5c4, pincer 79 in r4c6, and pincer 27: (2)r5c4 - (2=7) r5c1 - (7=5)r8c1 - (5=9)r3c1; r3c6, r4c1<>9

Check the "9:s" in column 1. A quick examination shows it can't be the 9 in row 4. And as this is a one-stepper the 9 in r3c1 gives the solution. |
