Wendy, according to the archives, the last Very Hard was 12-29; 12-31 is listed as Hard. |

If you print the puzzle, the rating may not show. Maybe Wendy solved a "Hard" with a "Very Hard" technique?
And, I might point out, the puzzle of 12-29-2009 was not a "Very Hard" either.

I just got around to it. It now shows a vh for 123109 and it is a vh. I used a w-wing 34. |

Yep, you guys are right. When I clicked on the Archive it went to Jan 2009, not Dec 2009, and without looking closely I thought, YAY! Sam gave us a VH for New Year's Eve. I am just grateful I didn't comment, "Wow, tough puzzle!." |
