For me, the xy-chain or W-wing depending on how you look at it, both starting/pincers at r1c6 and r3c7.
Seems quite often that strong link of the W-wing is part of a bivalue chain of an xy-chain? |

I think Peter it is all down to how you see things.
One person's colouring is another person's skyscraper. It all depends on how your brain likes to work. Certainly when I was getting to grips with the game I found the various wing/fish/kite/ and other "structures" very helpful - we like patterns and can often spot them. Much as the ancient Greeks and Romans did when describing the various constellations or the night sky.
Nat has of course elevated this to high art and has lassos, guns and city interchanges.  
As you know once you grasp the meta language that is AIC the veil lifts and (I believe) all is much clearer and those apparent differences dissolve. |
