Two steps for me:
1. xy chain on 9s pincers at r1c3 and r6c2 and so r3c2 r6c1 <>9
2. xy-wing <347> vertex at r3c2 thus r9c6<>7

It did look chainy but I followed the obvious x-wing which also needed two steps...

Quote:
x-wing(2) r36c14
m-wing(37) (7=3)r3c6-r3c2=(3-7)r8c2=r8c4; r3c4<>7, r9c6<>7

I thought advanced required chains beyond 3, this is pretty easy.

X-wing on 2s, w-wing on 37.

Simple.

Ah, simple to us. W-wing may be advanced to most newspaper solvers.
Got it, thanks.

Wapati, perhaps you should reflect that we probably all started off as 'newspaper solvers'
