This seemed to solve it without any concurrent steps? Looked like lots of UR moves on the way though..

Maybe I messed up basics, but
Quote: | My first pass was three steps:
Type 1 UR 67 that forced r5c7=3,
AIC: (1=4)r1c2 - r3c2 = r3c4 - r5c4 = r5c6 - (4=3)r7c6 - (3=1)r2c6; r1c45<>1, r2c1<>1,
xy-wing 13-4 with vertex 13 in r2c6 and pseudocell 14 in r59c6; r5c4<>4.
Then, on my second pass I saw a w-wing 34 in r3c4 & r7c6 and SL (4) in r5c46 for a one stepper. | Ted |

Code: | r36 X-Wing <> 3 r2c4 extraneous
<36> UR r45c17 => r4c1=1 and/or r5c7= 7
<67> UR r15c79 => r5c7<>67
r4c1=1 q.e.d.

as two steps separated by basics:

r45c17 <36> UR Type 1.1112 *** r4c1<>3

I used multiple steps.
Type 1 UR (67)
X-Wing (3)
Finned X-Wing (1)
XY-Wing (241), flightless, with transport of each pincer |

Danny, that's a neat duel-UR move! I'd have just made the type 1 elimination and moved on and missed it.
As always enjoying your puzzles.

Peter: I'm glad you enjoyed the UR. I've encountered a few recently in my puzzles. There's going to be another interesting one in today's advanced puzzle. It has an interesting twist that cracks the puzzle. |
