Looking for unusual moves, I found one that I do not know how to describe or notate. It is like a skyscraper except the two pincers do not share a common level, but a simple transport provides a deletion.
Code:

 *-----------------------------------------------------------------------------*
 | 5       1      #26      | 239     8       239     | 7       4      #69      |
 | 268     7       268     | 4       5       129     | 126     3       169     |
 | 9       3       4       | 7       12      6       | 12      5       8       |
 |-------------------------+-------------------------+-------------------------|
 | 14      26      9       | 236     123467  12347   | 8       267     5       |
 | 3       26      7       | 8       126     5       | 16      9       4       |
 | 14      8       5       | 269     12467   12479   | 3       267     167     |
 |-------------------------+-------------------------+-------------------------|
 | 7       5      #36      | 1      #346     34      | 9       8       2       |
 | 26      4       1       | 236     9       8       | 5       67      367     |
 | 268     9       2368    | 5       2367    237     | 4       1       36      |
 *-----------------------------------------------------------------------------*

skyscraper-like on 6 in r17c3 marked #, plus transport: (6)r1c9 - r89c9 = (9)r8c8; r8c4<>6

Then two xy-wings complete the puzzle.
xy-wing 2-36 with vertex r8c1; r7c56<>3
flightless xy-wing 36-7 with vertex r9c9: (7)r8c8 - r46c8 = (8)r6c9; r6c5<>7

Does anyone have a suggestion how to describe my first move?

Ted

Code:
finned Franken Swordfish r17b9\c39b8 w/fin r8c8  =>  r8c4<>6

As an X-Chain:

Code:
         [r7]          [r1]           [b9]
(6): r7c5 = r7c3 - r1c3 = r1c9 - r89c9 = r8c8  =>  r8c4<>6

Danny,

Thanks for the feedback. I have heard of Franken fish, but have never looked into the technique. Guess this is an occasion to do so.

As for the notation, my only excuse is jet-lag due to the 38 hours required to fly home. A nightmare trip!
