Sometimes, I get frustrated at my puzzle generator because it doesn't seem to generate a noteworty puzzle. After I have gsf's solver remove a few more clues, I realize why my generator stopped removing clues when it did.

The second puzzle should be more difficult than the first.

Danny.Great comparison of puzzles Danny.
Puzzle #1 I solved with the first two step I noticed.
Quote: | xy-wing -238 with vertex (38)r4c2; r6c7<>2
flightless xy-wing 1-28 with vertex (18)r5c3 plus transport (2)r5c4-r5c6=(2)r7c6; r7c3<>2 |
The second puzzle I used a total different initial move but then the remaining two additional moves used a similar path. However the second puzzle had multiple options using different steps after my initial move.
Quote: | Kraken cell (238)r5c6
(2)r5c6-(2=8)r5c4; r4c45<>8
(3)r5c6-(3=8)r3c6-r7c6=r7c3-r56c3=(8)r4c2; r4c45<>8
(8)r5c6; r4c45<>8
Almost xy-wing 37-8 with vertex (37)r4c5, pincers (38)r4c2 & (78)r8c5 with fin (5)r4c2
If xy-wing is true: r8c2<>8
If fin is true: (5)r4c2-(5=8)r9c2; r8c2<>8
Almost xy-wing 35-8 with vertex (35)r8c2, pincers (38)r4c2 & (58)r8c7 with fin (5)r4c2
If xy-wing is true: r4c7<>8
If fin is true: (5)r4c2-r9c2=r9c9-(5=8)r8c7; r4c7<>8 |

For the first one, I started with Ted's XY-Wing (382) and then a flightless W-Wing (38) with pincer transport. |

For the second one, I used:
M-Wing (28) + pincer transport
Kite (8)
XY-Wing (382), same numbers and same cells as the first puzzle, or so I think |
