Eventhough the grid seemed quite full after the basics, an XY wing(279) clears it up completely!

79 s in Box 3 and 9 operating on 7s in col 7 give 2 at r2c9 and a solution

OR
a 7 at r3c8 fails (easy to follow as there are so many strong links on 7) Is this called colouring?

I don't know what you had in mind, but I was able to eliminate that 7 by multi-coloring. Simple coloring is a chain of strong links with the chain having an even number of cells so that the start and end of the chain have opposite polarity.

For example, the chain might be true-false-true-false. The start and end cells are T-F. Or reverse the chain and those same two cells would be F-T. Any cell seeing both the start and end cells cannot contain the number.

Multi-coloring is more than one chain with the start cells in the same house. A Skyscraper and Kite are simple forms of multi-coloring.

If, like me, you want to avoid those tedious wings.

ER on 9

Type 6 UR on 28

and two more ERs on 9

Quite simple really.
